All inspectors are certified RREI (Residential Real Estate Inspector) through the FREA (Federation of Real Estate Appraisers) organization, and state licensed by the Illinois State Office of Banks and Real Estate for home inspections. Our head inspector is also an instructor for the State Certification Home Inspection class required to become a state licensed inspector and has instructed at Devry University . Do you do mold testing?

No, currently there is no certification for mold testing. If mold is observed during an inspection, it will be reported and then a mold inspection can be scheduled.

We are located west of O’Hare Airport. We serve the western suburbs, including Cook, Dupage, Kane, McHenry and Will Countys.

Background of Partridge Home Inspections.

Partridge Home Inspections was established in 1996 as a professional home inspection company serving the western suburbs of Chicago . This is our 11th year of service. PHI is licensed for Home Inspections in the state of Illinois . We complete about 200 home inspections annually. Each inspection is computer generated, written in the narrative form, not the simple check lists that some other inspectors use. Each home inspection includes a tour of the property (if buyer is present), identifying all the utility locations, furnace filters and attic accesses. Partridge Home Inspections, Inc. is also contracted by Harper College to teach the state licensing class for home inspectors approved by the State of Illinois . What makes Partridge Home Inspections unique is the thoroughness of the inspection and details documented on the written report. Most of our clientele is from referrals, by lawyers, previous clients and word of mouth.

About the Chief Inspector, Larry Partridge

Larry Partridge majored in Architecture in college and won awards for his architectural work in high school state competition at an early age. His family background includes a plumber, electrician, HVAC technician and a lawyer, so he was brought up understanding the trades. He has taught at both Devry University and Harper College in Illinois . Larry is currently an instructor for the Illinois State Licensing class for Home Inspectors. He has been contracted as an expert witness in Kane County Illinois. Larry is able to give a complete inspection at a professional level, known for its thoroughness.
